The Norfolk Coastal Path

I was on the Norfolk coast on Saturday and went for a stroll along the Norfolk Coastal Path between Burnham Deepdale and Brancaster.

Obviously I'd rather do the walk in the summer than November but it was a very pleasant stroll. The website for the path suggests a number of walks and I'll try and do a few of these next year.

Some pics....

Pubs frequented were the Ship at Brancaster for a drink - out of Adnams! And the White Horse at Brancaster Staithe - nice bowl of soup but pricey and no bread! In case you think I'm a grumpy git (well.....) the Deepdale Cafe at Burnham Deepdale does a cracking breakfast.

Expressions

The following photo is one of my favourites of Dad.

Don't get me wrong technically there is a lot wrong with it. Exposure etc. What I like is the expression. We were in Lavenham and as he gets older he finds the inclines seem steeper (don't we all!). It was a very sunny early March day and I knew he fancied a sit so we did and I snapped this.

I can't help thinking that running through his mind is.... "I'm sure that hill was less steep last summer".

Ickworth on a very dull November day

I was out with my father today. The day was so grey that it was almost Black and White.

The War of the Worlds

To be honest the world LOOKED Black and White today!

This electricity pylon at Rye Meads looked for all the world like a Martian Tripod from the Wells Classic bestriding the world!
