The Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens
And so the last full day in Florence......
Today we went south across the Arno to the Pitti Palace. From the outside the Palace looks imposing...
But nothing prepares you for the insterior. Amazing art and every room as the ceiling of incredible quality, a bit like finding all the great halls of England in one place. And unlike the Uffizi and Academia the art is more varied.
However it was lovely to get out and stroll around the gardens. There were Lizards, a Red Squirrel and a Firecrest.
We wandered back North for lunch
And onto the Santa Maria Nouvello church - well worth a visit!
