Seville Day 3

We went for a wander around Santa Cruz which was the old Jewish quarter and on was originally planned by the Moors. It has high walls and narrow streets to keep the sun out.

We went for a walk in the Jardines de Murillo

Seville Day 2

Our first full day in Seville!!

Anyway we heading down the River Guadalquivir adding Greylag to the trip list when we spotted a White Stork crossing !! It came back with nesting material alas this was our only sighting.

Outside the Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de CaballerĂa (bull ring) of which more another day.

The statue of Carmen.

We went for a stroll around the very fine Real Alcazar and its fabulous gardens. It was originally a Moorish Fort and is now a royal palace, apparently the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe.

The cathedral

We had lunch at El Giraldillo. My meal was ok, Trish was less impressed. It was definitely over priced but you were paying for the view....

The cathedral was not open yet so we went for a stroll around town.

The cathedral was amazing and we went to the top of the tower and enjoyed the views
