You wait months for a post and then two in a week ;)
It was frosty last Sunday and I thought/hoped the photos would work in B&W. Curiously we had snow overnight yesterday but it turned to rain so you would never have known by the time we set out!

I'm sorry to anyone still reading this as I'm rather negligent. I've obviously not visited many places but I can't blame lack of time!
I've gone back in the archives
Easby Abbey is a ruined Premonstratensian abbey on the outskirts of Richmond in North Yorkshire and was found in 1152 by the Constable of Richmond Castle (which I have unaccountably never visited). The abbey was abandoned at the reformation and left to go to ruins. The choir stalls can be found in Richmond parish church (another reason to visit).
My reason for visiting the abbey was the neighbouring St Agatha's church. This is thought to pre-date the abbey but the surviving church is later. The chuch contains medieval frescos.
