Wrest Park

Wrest Park is a 19th century house in a 17th century landscape garden(in the 18th century the family employed some leading designers and architects (Nicholas Hawksmoor, Thomas Archer, Batty Langley and William Kent. Later the family brought in Capability Brown). The house is in the French baroque stye  18th century

For a number of years the house was used as offices for agricultural engineering research. English Heritage took over the house and gardens in 2006 and have embarked on a major restoration programme and it is one of my favourite places to visit.
