I'm in Devon for a few days so a few experiments.
These shots were done at Coleton Fishacre, a 20th century house packed with period furnishings. Pity there was no indoor photography might have been conducive.
This shot of the sea I feel works, the lighting gave a monochrome feel. The light on the sea also helps the atmosphere I think.
This is the help built by Rupert D'Oyly Carte the son of the founder of the D'Oyly Carte opera company. In the 20's he built the house and planted a fine garden.
A garden feature.
When I get home I might play with some garden pictures to see if they work.
