Wray Castle and environs

Hs it really been a month?

I have just spent a week in the Lakes so over the next month I'll post some pics from my travels!

Today Wray Castle which is a neo-gothic castle. One of the founders of the National Trust, Hardwicke Rawnsley, lived here and Beatrix Potter holidayed here. This is after all Potter country. Today the castle is empty so is very child friendly. It also has a stunning location on the banks of Lake Windermere.
